1.) What is the next number of the following sequence? 
2, 3, 4, 7, 6, 11, 8, 15, 10, …… 
(a) 12 (b) 13 (c) 17 (d) 19 
Ans. : (d) 19 .
Solution:   
The given series is a mixture of two arithmetic series .
The two arithmetic series are :
2, 4, 6, 8, 10,..... and 3, 7, 11, 15, 19,..... 
The first series is a series of even numbers which has a difference of 2 between the two numbers.
The second series is a series of odd numbers which has a difference of 4 between the two numbers.
Hence the next number of the sequence is 19 .
