1.) What is the next number in the following sequence? 

 39, 42, 46, 50,…. 

(a) 52 (b) 53 (c) 54 (d) 55 

Ans. : (d) 55 .

Solution:

39 has 3 as the tens digit, so the next number is 39+3 = 42.

42 has 4 as the tens digit, so the next number is 42 + 4 = 46.

46 has 4 as the tens digit, so the next number is 46 + 4 = 50.

50 has 5 as the tens digit, so the next number is 50 + 5 = 55.

Hence the next number should be 55.
