1.) The curves of y = 2x² and y = 4x intersect each other at

(b) exactly two points 

(c) more than two points

Ans. : (b) exactly two points .

Solution:

At the point of intersections,

2x² = 4x

2x² - 4x = 0

2x( x - 2 ) = 0

Thus, x = 0; x = 2;

so, two points of Intersections.
